OSTEOPOROSIS
There are hardly any symptoms in the early stages. Subsequently, there could be back pain, loss of height over time, stooped posture, and fracture of the vertebrae, wrist, hips or other bones.
WHAT CAUSES IT?
Several risk factors may trigger osteoporosis. Being a woman, ageing, being small and thin, a family history of the disease, certain medications such as corticosteroids, etc, having low bone mass, eating disorders, too much thyroid hormone, low calcium intake, can all cause bone loss.
